Sheikh Al-Muajab participates in global meet on combating transnational crimes

CAIRO — Attorney General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Saud Bin Abdullah Al-Muajab arrived in Cairo Saturday to attend the International Conference on the Role of Public Prosecution Agencies and Public Prosecution Bodies in Combating Transnational Crimes, and the meeting of the Assembly of Arab Parliamentarians.

Upon arrival in Egypt, Sheikh Al-Muajab was received by Egypt's Prosecutor General Counselor Hamada El-Sawy.

The conference, which is being held with the participation of many public prosecutions, aims to discuss combating transnational crimes, terrorism, crimes of trafficking in persons, ways to develop procedures for mutual legal assistance, requests for extradition and information exchange.

Also, the conference includes a meeting of the Assembly of Arab Representatives and the Assembly of African Representatives, to include several general and bilateral meetings with the aim of joint cooperation to strengthen judicial cooperation mechanisms.

It is worth mentioning that the conference is being organized by the Assembly of Arab Representatives in cooperation with Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS), the International Organization for Migration and the Counter-Terrorism Project in the Middle East and North Africa. —SPA
