RIYADH — Eng. Khalid Al-Hogail, CEO of Saudi Public Transport Company (SAPTCO) and President of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), has won the 2021 IRF Man of the Year title for his contributions to developing the transport system.

The Board of Directors of the International Road Federation (IRF) announced the winner.

Eng. Al-Hogail was honored during the inauguration of the 18th IRF World Meeting and Exhibition in Dubai. The event was hosted by the Roads and Transport Authority under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

The event includes the participation of more than 100 international firms and start-up companies and more than 250 speakers.

Based in Washington, IRF was established in 1948. It is an international non-profit organization supported by regional bureaus across the world to serve a network of federation members in 116 countries. — SPA
