Shariah guidance service for visitors to Grand Mosque in seven languages

November 11, 2021

MAKKAH — The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, represented by the General Administration for Guidance Affairs, has launched a project for translating Shariah-related questions for Umrah performers and visitors to the Grand Mosque in seven foreign languages.

“We guide you in your language” program will be available in English, Urdu, Persian, French, Turkish, Hausa and Bengali.

The Presidency has prepared a comprehensive plan to offer the service by deploying translators at designated locations to guide anyone who have questions and doubts related to Islamic topics and the rituals of worship. The pilgrims and visitors will receive answers to their questions in their respective languages.

“We guide you in your language” program answers the questions from Umrah performers and visitors on Sharia issues directly, with the help of a robot, visual connection, and free mobile phone service at the Grand Mosque.

The number of beneficiaries of the service during the first quarter of this year totaled 23,135 people at seven locations inside the Holy Mosque. — SPA
