RIYADH — The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) announced 65,000 male and female citizens were employed during the third quarter of 2021.
The announcement came within the decisions issued by the ministry to implement Saudization in several sectors and professions such as: accounting professions, communications and information technology (IT) sector, technical and engineering, restaurants and cafes professions.
According to Akhbaar24, Saad Al-Hammad, spokesman of the MHRSD confirmed that the ministry has employed more than 16,000 men and women in engineering jobs after the localizeation decision.
The target was 7,000, as it has achieved 229% of engineering professions localization goal.
Al-Hammad added that the ministry has employed more than 24,000 men and women in restaurants and cafes sectors, where the target was 19,000,
The ministry has achieved 107% in communications and information technology (IT) sector after employing more than 9,000 men and women.
More than 15,000 men and women have been employed in accounting professions, while the decision to localize accounting jobs was targeting 9,500, he added
