RIYADH — The Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission announced plans Monday to organize the first philosophy conference to be held in the Kingdom annually titled "Riyadh International Conference on Philosophy".

International specialists in philosophy, its theories, and modern applications from all over the world will be invited. The first session of the conference will be held from Dec. 8-10 under the theme "Festival of Ideas".

The Commission elaborated that the conference, in its first round, will adopt the concept of (Unpredictability) as a central axis around which participants will base their deliberations, reflections, and research, based on the theories of ethics and their conceptual dimensions, developments in scientific progress, and the accelerating pace of technology applications.

The conference will address the influential presence of philosophy in various human activities, through a program rich in lectures and dialogue sessions, and parallel activities such as the interactive experiences space that deals with philosophical topics in a creative manner, workshops and an exhibition accompanying philosophical projects.
