Rain likely to hit entire Saudi regions from Friday

RIYADH – Heralding the winter season, all regions of the Kingdom are expected to receive rain from Friday till Monday, according to the forecasts of the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

In a video clip, aired by Al-Ekhbariya channel, the center noted that the wet weather still prevails in the regions of Makkah and Madinah and the coastal areas after receiving heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorm in Jeddah and some other cities last Saturday and Sunday.

This rainy weather is likely to spread to the entire regions of the Kingdom, especially the northern and eastern regions, as well as the Riyadh and Qassim regions.

The NCM forecasts also showed that most mountainous highlands are likely to experience light to heavy rain during the coming days until Monday.

There has been a drop in temperatures in some regions of the Kingdom over the last few days and the mercury will witness further drop in most regions following the rain and inclement weather, the center pointed out.
