New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia drop below the 30-mark

RIYADH —New COVID-19 cases dropped below the 30-mark for the first time on Thursday with 28 new infections recorded over the past 24 hours after continuing to slide in the last four weeks from the 50-mark.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, one person died due to complications caused by the virus over the past 24 hours.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 549,618 and the virus-related fatalities to 8,829.

According to the ministry, a total of 38 people recovered over the past 24 hours, raising the total number of people free from the deadly virus to 538,740.

According to the ministry, among the active cases 48 of them were in critical condition.
