EXCLUSIVE international exhibitions paying homage to the Fashion World will be one of the highlights of Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience, the first-of-its-kind event to be held in the region at The Dubai Mall on Oct.10, 2013.



Organized by Emaar Properties, the global property developer of iconic projects, and Vogue Italia, one of the world’s most influential fashion magazines, the event will showcase exclusive creations of the world’s most sought-after and renowned designers, defining Dubai’s place in the global fashion circuit.



More than 250 international fashion brands and a bevy of international designers, celebrities and dignitaries, will take part in Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience, underlining Dubai’s evolution as a definitive global fashion capital.



Under Vogue Italia’s direction, The Bloomingdale’s atrium will house a selection of the most representative creations of the biggest names in the international fashion industry such as Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Armani, Valentino, Chanel, Dior, Elie Saab, Jean Paul Gaultier and Givenchy.



A highlight of the event is an exclusive photography exhibit of the most iconic covers of Vogue Italia. Under the direction of Franca Sozzani, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia, who recently celebrated 25 years of leading the world-renowned publication, the photography exhibition set up at the Grand Atrium will feature 50 of the most iconic covers of Vogue Italia magazine.



The retrospective will also include some ground-breaking covers featuring women of different age and race that helped establish Vogue Italia as one of the most influential publications in the fashion industry. Visitors will also have the opportunity to experience the ‘super model experience’ by customizing the cover of Vogue Italia with their own portrait shot by a professional photographer.



An eco-friendly section in the Waterfall Atrium will highlight the commitment of the fashion industry to the environment, presenting short films on eco-fashion projects as well as eco-friendly collections as examples of some of the sustainable initiatives of Vogue Italia’s editorial staff.

During the event, dedicated stands will sell copies of Vogue Italia and L’Uomo Vogue as well as official Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience t-shirts, shopping bags and other merchandise. A part of the proceeds from the sales will go to Dubai Cares, the charity organization founded by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.



Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience will be held at The Dubai Mall from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m.



Located in the heart of the prestigious Downtown Dubai mixed-use development, The Dubai Mall has over 1,200 retail outlets and two anchor department stores – the Fashion Avenue, dedicated to high fashion, and The Souk, featuring 99 stores offering gold & jewelry, traditional handicrafts, souvenirs, abayas, perfumes and carpets. – SG
