RIYADH — The “Hack@” event was launched on Sunday as the biggest global cyber security event of its kind in the Middle East.
The event is being held in “Riyadh Front”, one of the entertainment zones for Riyadh season 2021, in one of the most rich and attractive areas for quality events that interest visitors of all ages.
The zone connects international investors and manufacturers with those interested from Saudi Arabia and its visitors from abroad, gathering the greatest minds, elite professionals and trainers globally in this field for the first time in the Kingdom.
This event comes as an important tributary to achieving the goals of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity and Programming and Drones (SAFCSP), to have one programmer out of every 100 Saudis by 2030.
It is being held to encourage innovation, creativity and access to global leadership, in order to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in seizing the opportunities of the digital economy.
This global event, whose activities will continue until next Tuesday, is considered the biggest cybersecurity conference in both Asia and Africa, and is being held in order to consolidate the Kingdom’s position in the technical field.
It will also enhance its digital capabilities, as it has become the second country in the world in the field of cybersecurity and the first in the Arab world, the Middle East and Asia according to the Global Cybersecurity Index.
In partnership with SAFCSP and "Informa Tech" with "Black Hat" as well as STC, the partner and digital enabler, the event aims to raise awareness of cybersecurity risks, address them and share the latest developments in this field.
More than 200 speakers and trainers and 200 leading and emerging companies from around the world offering their solutions and products in the field of cybersecurity are taking part.
The sections of "Hack@" event include the Executive Summit section dedicated to the elite of cybersecurity experts to discuss the latest developments in the field, the technical workshops section in which programmers present the most prominent open source tools and the latest research, studies and developments in the field of cybersecurity.
The business hall presents the most prominent services and products of information technology, in addition to the Department of Interactive Space in order to build professional relationships and know the latest technological developments in the presence of many recreational activities.
The event sections also contain the section of Cybersecurity Challenges, which offers a set of prizes amounting to SR1,000,000, which is divided into two challenges.
The first is the “Catch the Flag” challenge with a competition among the top 1000 participants, and the challenge of the loophole rewards platform that lasts for eight hours, provided that an announcement is made. Winners will be announced on the last day of the event. — SPA
