RIYADH — Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Bin Mohammad Al-Sheikh received here Monday the Japanese Ambassador Iwai Fumio.

During the meeting, they discussed ways of strengthening cooperation between the two friendly countries in the field of public and university education as well as scientific research, and exchanged joint experiences and expertise.

They also discussed areas of scientific and educational cooperation among universities and research centers of the two countries, scholarships provided by Saudi Arabia for Japanese students, and activating the memorandum of scientific cooperation reached between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan. — SPA
