GACA, Cisco sign MoU in field of technical innovation

RIYADH — The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) signed Tuesday a memorandum of understanding with Cisco Arabia Saudi Arabia Ltd. in the presence of the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah Al-Duailej and the Vice President and Global Innovation Officer of Cisco Dr. Guy Diedrich.

The signing of the memorandum, which took place at GACA’s headquarters in Riyadh, was signed by GACA’s assistant to the president for technology and digital transformation, Eng. Abdullah Bin Fahd Al-Shaya, while it was signed by the CEO of Cisco in Saudi Arabia Salman Bin Abdulghani Faqih.

The MoU comes within the objectives of the civil aviation sector strategy to enhance the scope of cooperation in the field of technology and digital transformation.

This is the scope in which GACA is keen to activate with international institutions and companies specializing in advanced technical fields, in order to keep pace with the latest developments in the field of digital transformation in line with the directions of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. — SG
