KSrelief project dismantles over 1,500 land mines in Yemen in a week

ADEN — King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Project for clearing mines in Yemen dismantled, during the first week of December 2021, a total of 1,578 mines planted by the Houthi militia across Yemen, including 17 anti-personnel mines, 518 anti-tank mines, 1,027 unexploded ordnance and 16 explosive devices.

Since the beginning of the project, known as Masam, as many as 291,931 mines have been dismantled.

The project seeks to clear Yemeni lands of the mines that were randomly planted by the Houthi militia causing death and injury of innocent children, women, and the elderly. — SPA
