Crown Prince leaves Oman winding up first leg of GCC tour

MUSCAT —
Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman has concluded his first stop of his Gulf tour in Oman after meeting with Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Monday during which they discussed issues of common interest.

At the conclusion of his visit to Muscat, Crown Prince said the discussions his delegation had with Oman’s leadership “the common desire to deepen cooperation.”

Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, bade him farewell as he was leaving Al-Alam Palace in Muscat.

The Crown Prince, was also seen off at the Sultani Private Airport by Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, who serves also as Special Representative of the Sultan of Oman; Sayyid Dhi Yazan bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youths; Gen. Sultan Al-Noamani, Minister of the Sultani Office; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al-Busaidi, Minister of Interior, who also serves as Head of the Honorary Mission; Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said, Oman’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia; and Abdullah bin Saud Al-Enezi, Saudi Ambassador to Oman.

Prince Muhammad bin Salman sent a cable of thanks to Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, on the occasion of his departure from Oman after an official visit.

“As I leave your brotherly country, I express my deepest gratitude and appreciation of Your Majesty for the warm reception and generous hospitality accorded to me and the accompanying delegation,” Crown Prince said.

“The discussions we had, affirmed the strength of the brotherly relations between our two countries, and the common desire to deepen the cooperation between them in all fields, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King and Your Majesty, which aims to achieve the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples and enhance the security and stability of the region.”
