ADEN — The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Monday highly valued the Yemen-related statements jointly issued by Saudi Arabia and each of the five GCC countries during the official tour of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, to Oman, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Kuwait respectively.
The official Yemeni News Agency (Saba) quoted the Yemeni ministry as highly appreciating the unique fraternal relations, the solid historical ties and joint destination linking Yemen with of Saudi Arabia and rest of the GCC countries for working on facing joint threats and dangers and preserving the security and stability of the Arabian Peninsula region.
The Yemeni ministry renewed the Yemeni government position supporting all efforts aiming at realizing peace and regaining the State, including its support for the Saudi initiative for ceasefire as a significant step to tackle all humanitarian issues, the importance of proceeding with the implementation of Riyadh Agreement to unify efforts, regaining economic order and facing Iran-backed Houthi militia's danger.
The ministry strongly condemned the continuing targeting of airports, residents and vital installations by the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Saudi Arabia, and its threat to the security of international navigation and global energy security, renewing its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its territories and people.
The Yemeni ministry expressed thanks to and appreciation of the stances of the GCC countries for their support for Yemen. — SPA
