Dr. Al Rabeeah, Griffiths discuss means to enhance cooperation to alleviate suffering in needy countries

RIYADH — Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah met here Wednesday with UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths.

During the meeting, Dr. Al Rabeeah highlighted KSrelief’s relief and humanitarian projects, which amounted to 1,806 projects in 77 countries, covering various vital sectors in a total value of $5,523,641,000, where Yemen alone accounted for 644 projects of the total.

Both sides also discussed issues of joint interest related to aid and humanitarian affairs and means to enhance cooperation to alleviate the suffering in needy countries around the world.

For his part, Griffiths praised the leading role of the center in the humanitarian field that it realized in a short time, referring to its endeavors in offering assistance to all needy categories without any discrimination. — SPA
