KHARTOUM — King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Tuesday delivered a shipment of health and environment supplies weighing more than 46 tons to Sudan.

The shipment included 232 power generators to support health facilities, medicines, vaccines, insecticide spraying devices and thousands of pesticide-saturated mosquito nets, among others.

The aid was handed over at Khartoum International Airport in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Sudan Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, Sudanese officials and a KSrelief team.

Acting Federal Health Undersecretary Dr. Haitham Mohammed Ibrahim expressed his gratitude to the Saudi government for its ongoing support to Sudan, stressing that this shipment is an extension of previous aid that was offered by Saudi Arabia through KSrelief to support the healthcare system and combat the coronavirus pandemic in Sudan.

He commended KSrelief’s efforts that made it among pioneering centers internationally in the field of humanitarian work.

This assistance is in implementation of the generous directives from Saudi Arabia’s leadership to support the Sudanese people under all circumstances and times, where this aid highlights the solid brotherly ties between the two countries and peoples.
