KUWAIT — The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah was awarded the Honorary Informatics Medal given by Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award in the State of Kuwait in its 21st session.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah was given the medal for its efforts in serving the pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques, and for using the latest technologies, electronic services and smart applications in “Eatmarna” application.

It is worth mentioning that the system of services for pilgrims and Umrah performers has witnessed a great technological development, as the ministry has created technical solutions, digital platforms and high quality technological services, including the Eatmarna application.

The total number of beneficiaries reached more than 20 million, who were able to book various types of permits (prayer in the Grand Mosque, performing Umrah rites, visiting the Prophet’s Mosque) in the recent years. — SPA
