MAKKAH — The General Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques Affairs has allocated 34 routes in the tawaf (circumambulation) area for Umrah performers after re-applying preventive and precautionary measures at the Grand Mosque.
Director of Crowds Planning Administration Eng. Ayman Falamban said that necessary plans were made to dispatch Umrah performers and worshippers at certain times, providing prayer areas with social distancing stickers, so as to abide by social distancing standards while taking all preventive and precautionary measures.
He added that the agency is committed to applying all quality and safety standards for visitors of the Grand Mosque through adopting several procedures, such as social distancing and allocating certain routes, so as to improve the level of services offered during the current Umrah season, reiterating the importance for Umrah performers and worshippers to commit to applying social distancing and wearing masks. — SPA
