Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that permits to visit and perform prayer at the Rawdah Sharif and visit the Prophet’s grave at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah would be issued in a gap of one month.

There must be an interval of 30 days for obtaining a second permit for prayer at the Rawdah Sharif and visiting the Prophet’s grave after performing the rituals on the basis of the first issued permits.

The ministry also said that no permits would be issued for women to visit the Prophet’s grave. Permit for the visit of the Prophet’s grave will be restricted to men only while women can apply for the permit to pray at the Rawdah Sharif.

Worshipers need to take permit to perform each of the five obligatory prayers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah but there is no need to take out a permit for prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque.

Umrah pilgrims and worshipers have to obtain permits for Umrah, prayer at Grand Mosque, Rawdah Sharif and visit the Prophet’s grave through the Eatmarna and Tawakkalna applications.

According to the updated health protocols, wearing masks and maintaining social distancing are required within the Two Holy Mosques. Only those whose health status on Tawakkalna app is immune are allowed to enter the holy mosques.
