RIYADH — Large numbers of visitors are captivated by the amazing works on leather by young Saudi artist Hamad Al-Kharji at the Riyadh Season 2021 festival.

Athriya, a zone of the Season2, has provided an exceptional opportunity for Al-Kharji to exhibit his unique and extraordinary talent.

The young Saudi artist mastered the skills in drawing paintings on leather of all kinds. He translates his passion into incredible images. He also illustrates aesthetic concepts on leather so as to preserve and document them based on the wishes and requests of visitors.

Al-Kharji uses professional colors and high-quality brushes to draw on leather. Some of his drawings take a day or two, while some take a couple of hours.

He noted that the amount of time is related to the quality of the drawing and the complexities of its details, which is unique in many of the drawings that fascinate visitors.

Al-Kharji said he spent about 10 years of his life practicing the talent of drawing on leather and later he turned into painting murals for restaurants and cafes.

“The season gave me the opportunity to know more about the artistic and aesthetic approaches and tastes of various segments of society and thus tuned my creativity to cater to their tastes. The Season2 gave me ample opportunities to display these works of art in front of a large audience,” he said.

In Athriya, Al-Kharji won accolades of entire visitors for his extraordinary talent and adept skills.

The heritage village, located northeast of Riyadh, has been chosen as one of the 14 zones of the Riyadh Season 2021 where visitors from different segments of society and international tourists can have wonderful and luxurious experiences.

The facilities in the village include luxury restaurants, international cafes, open art exhibitions, and live musical performances. The visitors can dine in international brand restaurants and cafes in the ambience of background music.
