WASHINGTON/MOSCOW — The United States of America strongly condemns the terrorist attack that took place Monday night in Abu Dhabi, which killed three innocent civilians.

In a statement issued by the White House, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that the Houthis have claimed responsibility for this attack, and the US administration will work with the UAE and international partners to hold them accountable.

The statement affirmed the United States' commitment to the security of the UAE and to stand with it in the face of all threats to it.

The Russian Federation Parliament (State Duma) too strongly condemned the Houthi militia attack that targeted civilian facilities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In a statement, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky said that the Russian parliament strongly condemns the drone attack carried out by Houthi militias against Abu Dhabi, which led to the death of a number of civilians.

He affirmed that those attacks not only blatantly violate norms of the international humanitarian law, but also undermine prospects for peaceful settlement of the Yemeni crisis based on relevant UN Security Council resolutions and decisions made in the format of the Yemeni dialogue.

In Tunisia, the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers condemned the terrorist attack carried out by the Houthi militia on Abu Dhabi International Airport in the UAE, which led to deaths, injuries, and material damage.

In a statement issued from its headquarters in Tunis, it said that the attack constitutes an intentional targeting of civilian facilities, a flagrant violation of international law, a war crime, and new evidence confirming the seriousness of this terrorist militia and its persistent and aggressive approach that threatens security, peace, and stability in the region.

The secretariat affirmed its full solidarity with the UAE and its absolute support for it in the measures it takes to defend its security, protect its lands and facilities, and preserve the safety of its citizens and expatriate. — SPA
