YANBU — The Education Department, affiliated to Yanbu Governorate has won two categories of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award of Distinguished Academic Performance at the level of schools in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The Fifth Secondary School in Yanbu governorate won the award for the “Distinguished School and School Administration” category, while Taghreed Masoud Bajnaid, a Saudi teacher at the Fifth Secondary School won the Excellence Award for the “Distinguished Teacher” category.

For his part, Salim bin Obyan Al-Atwi, Director of Yanbu Education Department, congratulated the winners of the two awards, stressing that Yanbu Education's achievements emanate from the fruitful efforts and hard work exerted by the educational staff and its positive impact on the advancement of education. — SPA
