SDRPY signs contract to rehabilitate Aqbat Heijat Al-Abed Road

RIYADH — The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) has signed a contract of a project to rehabilitate Aqbat Heijat Al-Abed Road with a total length of 8.7 kilometers.

The road constitutes a vital importance for 4,000,000 beneficiaries as it is considered a main road connecting Taiz Governorate with other governorates. The deal is to reduce the road risks, where the project is an extension of the program's support for the Yemeni people in various sectors.

The project also aims at preparing the damages and partial collapses to increase the level of traffic safety, limit road accidents, facilitate the movement of transporting individuals and goods, and realize a safe transport for its users.

It is worth mentioning that the SDRPY has implemented 204 development projects and initiatives in various Yemeni governorates to serve the Yemeni people in 7 basic sectors, namely education, health, water, transportation, agriculture, fisheries, and capacity building of government institutions, in addition to other development programs. — SPA
