King Salman receives written message from president of South Sudan

RIYADH — The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman received on Monday a written message from President Salva Kiir Mayardit of the Republic of South Sudan.

The message dealt with the bilateral relations and ways of enhancing and developing them in all fields.

The message was received by Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Bin Abdullah during a meeting with South Sudan's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mayiik Ayii Deng.

During the meeting, Prince Faisal hailed the Republic of South Sudan's support to the Kingdom's bid to host the Expo 2030 in Riyadh under the slogan "The Era of Change: Leading the Planet to a Foresighted Tomorrow."

The two sides signed a framework agreement between the governments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of South Sudan, which aims to develop bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to discussing ways to strengthen and develop joint relations in various fields, as well as exchanging views on regional and international issues of common interest.
