RIYADH —
Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman signed on Tuesday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Iraq’s Ministry of Electricity for electricity linkage.

On the sidelines of the MoU signing ceremony, Prince Abdulaziz said the move comes under the direction of the two countries' leaders.

He noted that the deal aims to strengthen ties between the two countries, as well as establish a regional market for electricity trade.

Saudi Arabia targets to become a regional hub for electricity linkage systems in the Arab world, the prince added.
