RIYADH — The Muslim World League (MWL) has condemned the ongoing criminal attacks carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia involving the use of ballistic missiles and drones on civilians and civilian targets in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

On behalf of the Muslim World League and its councils, assemblies, and international bodies, MWL Secretary General Dr. Mohammad Bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa stressed that this terrorist group continues its systematic crimes against civilians and civilian objects, where the threat of its terrorism extends from affecting regional security and stability to the international security.

The MWL affirmed that the international community should take a decisive stance against such crimes, which exploit the commitment of the Arab coalition, being led by Saudi Arabia, to support Yemen's legitimate government and humanitarian initiatives for all those affected by conflict in Yemen.

The Secretary General renewed the League's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and its support for them in all measures they take to preserve their security and the safety of their citizens and residents.

In Tunisia, the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers condemned the terrorist attacks of the Houthi militia targeting civilian facilities in Saudi Arabia and the UAE with ballistic missiles and drones.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the Council said that it had received with great denunciation the news of the terrorist attacks through which the Houthi militia attempted to target civilian sites in Saudi Arabia and the UAE with ballistic missiles and drones in cowardly aggression that deliberately targets the lives of innocents, which constitutes a war crime that requires accountability, and a flagrant violation of international law and regional peace and security.

The Council stressed that these terrorist attacks by the Houthis militia, its blatant defiance of the international community, and its rejection of all endeavors and initiatives aimed at bringing peace to Yemen, reflect the continued aggressive approach of this militia and its goals aimed at threatening security, stability, and peace in the Arab region.

The statement continued: The General Secretariat of the Council — while firmly and forcefully condemning these terrorist attacks — reiterates its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and its absolute support for all the measures they take to defend their security, protect their lands, and facilities, and preserve the safety of their citizens and residents.

The secretariat commended the vigilance and efficiency of the Saudi and Emirati air defense forces and the Coalition Forces to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen in thwarting all attacks.

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) too strongly condemned the ballistic missile attack carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia towards civilian areas in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which were intercepted by the coalition forces to support legitimacy in Yemen and the UAE armed forces.

In a statement, OIC Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha condemned the continued Houthi militia's targeting of civilians and civilian facilities with ballistic missiles and booby-trapped drones, describing these actions as criminal and a violation of international laws.

The OIC Secretary General reiterated the organization's support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia and the UAE and its support for the measures they are taking to protect their lands, security, and stability.

In Abu Dhabi, The UAE strongly condemned the Houthi militia's attempt to target civil areas and facilities in the UAE with two ballistic missiles, affirming that this violent act cannot go without a thorough and comprehensive response, WAM reported.

In a statement issued by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, it said that the UAE reserves the right to respond against these terrorist attacks and such blatant criminal escalation, describing these attacks as "a heinous crime committed by the terrorist Houthi militia in breach of international and humanitarian laws".

The UAE ministry stated that this terrorist militia is continuing its criminal activities without being held accountable, by causing terror and chaos in the region to achieve its unlawful aims and objectives. It has called on the international community to condemn and denounce these terrorist acts, which target civilians and civil facilities.

The UAE also expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist Houthi militia's attack on Jazan in Saudi Arabia with a ballistic missile, which left two civilians injured.

The UAE Foreign Ministry considered this to be a dangerous escalation and cowardly act that threatens the security, safety, and lives of civilians and called for taking all necessary measures to protect civilians from Houthi threats.

It reaffirmed the UAE's solidarity with the Kingdom over these terrorist attacks and reiterated its stance against all threats to the Kingdom's security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

"The security of the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is indivisible, and any threat facing the Kingdom is considered a threat to the UAE's security and stability," the UAE Foreign Ministry concluded.

In Cairo, the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace on Monday strongly denounced and condemned the terrorist Houthi militia’s launch of two ballistic missiles on Abu Dhabi, which were intercepted by the UAE air defense forces.

President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace Ahmad Bbin Mohammed Al-Jarwan, in a statement, said: “The repetition of such terrorist attacks represents a flagrant challenge of this terrorist militia to the resolutions of the UN Security Council and the Arab League that condemned the heinous terrorist attack on civilians and civil objects and facilities in UAE on Jan. 17, stressing that they constitute a clear violation to the international law and the international humanitarian law.”

Al-Jarwan called on the international community to take a firm position to put a limit to the terrorism that the terrorist Houthi militia is practicing and classifying it as a terrorist group damaging the international peace and security.

He also praised the solidarity of countries and regional and international organizations with Saudi Arabia and the UAE and their condemnations of the attacks perpetrated by the terrorist Houthi militia.

In Paris, France also condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attacks carried out the Houthi militia by firing ballistic missiles on Saudi Arabia and the UAE on Jan. 23 and 24, which followed the Houthi attacks on Abu Dhabi on Jan. 17.

In a statement Monday, the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs expressed France's support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and its adherence to their regional security and stability.

In Algiers, Algeria has strongly condemned the attacks on Saudi Arabia and the UAE, renewing its permanent solidarity with the two countries.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned these hostile acts and renewed call to avoid escalation and favor dialogue in order to overcome differences and find solutions to ensure peace, security and prosperity for all the peoples of the region.

In Tripoli, Libya has condemned in the strongest terms the repeated attacks of the terrorist Houthi militia on Saudi Arabia, which target civilians and civilian facilities.

In a statement Monday, Libyan Foreign Minister Najla El-Mangoush said: We condemn the repeated attacks by the Houthi militia on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

She added that the Houthi militia’s insistence on repeated attacks is a challenge to the international community and a clear violation of the rules of international humanitarian law. — SPA
