Non-oil exports in Saudi Arabia increase by 26.1%

RIYADH — The Non-oil exports in Saudi Arabia have increased by 26.1% in November 2021, compared to the same month last year, according to the November 2021 Foreign Trade Bulletin issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) on Tuesday.

The increase in the non-oil exports in November recorded SR26 billion, rising to SAR 26.0 billion from SAR 20.6 billion in November 2020, while the value of non-oil exports increased by 9%, amounting to SR2.1 billion compared to last October 2021.

According to the results of the bulletin, Saudi merchandise exports in November recorded an increase of 82.5% compared to the same month last year, as international trade was affected by travel ban due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Saudi Arabia’s merchandise exports value during November 2021 amounted to about SR107.3 billion, as it witnessed an increase of SR58.8 billion from its value in the same month last year, as a result of the increase in the petroleum exports by 112.8%, amounting to SR43.1 billion.

The proportion of petroleum exports out of the total exports rose from 65% in November 2020 to 75.8% in November 2021, while the merchandise exports value increased by SR1.1 billion compared to October 2021 by 1%.

Meanwhile, due to the rise in commodity prices, the Kingdom's merchandise imports has recorded in November 2021 an increase of 1.4%, amounting to SR0.7 billion, as it reached SR49.4 billion in November 2021, compared to SR48.7 billion in November of the previous year.

According to the results of the bulletin, Saudi Arabia' imports value increased by 5.5%, amounting to SR2.6 billion in November 2021, compared to October 2021.
