Green Falcons arrives in Tokyo in preparation to face Japan

The Saudi National Team arrived in Haneda International Airport in the Japanese capital, Tokyo on Saturday, in preparation to face Japan next Tuesday.

The Saudi team and its Japanese counterpart match is the eight round of the final Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as it will take place on Tuesday February 1, at Saitama Stadium, where the Saudi team could confirm qualification to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 if they win the match.

The green falcons occupies the top spot in the second group of Asian qualifiers for the World Cup, with 19 points, confirming at least a playoff spot with the possibility of finishing below third place eliminated, while the Japanese team occupy second place with 15 points.

It is noteworthy that on last Thursday, Saudi Arabia consolidated their position at the top of Group B of the AFC Asian Qualifiers - Road to Qatar with a narrow 1-0 home win against Oman at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium.
