RIYADH – The quarterfinals lineup in the Riyadh Zone of American Express T20 Cup being organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) is complete following last weekend’s matches here.
Nouman Gymkhana beat Riyadh Royals by 6 wickets. Royals took the strike first and scored 158-7. Anwar grabbed 3 wickets, while Amjad bagged 2. Nouman Gymkhana achieved the target in 19 overs. Izhar remained unbeaten on 51. Amjad hit 45 and Mudassir 25.
Grundfos defeated Pakistani Strikers by 6 wickets. Pakistani Strikers put on 136. Azam scored 29 and Kamran 21. Raheel picked up 3 wickets and Arasalan 2. Wicketkeeper Yasser Al-Saggaf was quick behind the stumps. He took 2 catches and had 1 stumping. Grundfos achieved the target in 14.1 overs. Yasser Al-Saggaf added 63 off 36 balls and Alvi 28.
Kingdom Warriors beat Tigers by 7 wickets. Tigers batted first and scored 106. Irfan took 5 wickets and Imran 2. Kingdom Warriors achieved the target in 10.2 overs. Atif hit 54 and Sameer 29. Sharaf and Kamran took 1 wicket each.
Friends-XI beat Royal Strikers by 3 wickets. Strikers batting first managed 148 with contributions from Prashanth Nair (28), Jijin C. Nambiar (26) and Junais Khizepat (21). Abdul Raheem and Ahmed took 3 wickets each. Friends-XI in reply achieved the target in 17.4 overs. Abdul Raheem hit 46. Aneesh Ashok and Sijeesh Nambiar claimed 2 wickets each.
Imran-XI beat Kashmir Gymkhana by 7 wickets. Kashmir Gymkhana put on 136. Shabir Kanth added 48. Imran-XI achieved the target in 14 overs. Zia added 39, Israr 32, Majid 26 and Umar 22.
Pakistan Falcons beat Majlis-e-Pakistan (MPCC) by 5 wickets. MPCC batted first and posted 163-9. Zahid hit 52, Waqas 23 and Umar 21. Rizwan took 4 wickets and Muhammad Fazal 3. Falcons achieved the target in 17 overs.
Yassir Ahmed scored 60, Muhammad Fazal 46 and Tila Yusafzayi 34. Salman and Umar took 2 wickets each.
Delhi Dare Devils got a walkover against Pak Fighters.
In matches played under the Al-Qassim Zone, Azad-XI beat Chaudhry-XI by 14 runs. Batting first, Azad-XI scored 205-3. Ikram hit 75, Mohammed Sajid 60 and Kashif Bhat 35. Chaudhry-XI fell short by 15 runs. Ateeq scored 58.
Zubair took 3 wickets, while Sajid got 2. Pak Apex beat Al-Fateh by 22 runs. Batting first, Pak Apex scored 226. Imran 61 and Wajeeh 42 were top scorers. Mushtaq took 3 wickets and Ishfaq 2. Al-Fateh scored 204 runs.
Zahid 53 and Irfan 32 were the main run-getters. Ghaffar and Yasser took 2 wickets each.
Bismillah-XI beat Friends-XI by 67 runs. Batting first, Bismillah-XI scored 162. Sher Ali was the top scorer with 26. Friends-XI was restricted to 95. Iftikhar took 3 wickets and Abdul Razaq 2.
Paradise-XI beat Shaheen-XI by 119 runs. Paradise-XI scored 214. Ayaz hit a century (107). Naeem and Asghar took 1 wicket each. Shaheen-XI was all out for 95. Haroon and Abdullah took 2 wickets each.
