AMMAN — King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan met here Wednesday with Shoura Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh and an accompanying delegation, as part of the official visit of Al-Sheikh to Jordan.
During the meeting, the Jordanian King reiterated Jordan’s condemnation of Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, reaffirming that Saudi Arabia’s security is an integral part of the security of Jordan and the entire region.
King Abdullah II reaffirmed the distinguished brotherly ties between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, praising the level of existing coordination between the two brotherly countries, asking the Speaker of the Shoura Council to convey his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense.
For his part, the Shoura Speaker conveyed the greetings of King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad to King Abdullah II and their wishes for Jordan and the brotherly Jordanian people more progress and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by Jordanian Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez and Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Naif Bin Bandar Al Sudairi.
King Abdullah II of Jordan also on Wednesday met here Arab League’s Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments at the Arab and regional arenas. — SPA
