RIYADH — There is a move to merge the government applications of Absher and Tawakkalna in one platform. This is aimed at enabling citizens and expatriates to take advantage of all government services through a single portal, Al-Arabiya channel reported quoting well-informed sources.

The sources stated that the unified platform would provide its services to the beneficiaries, including citizens and residents. The beneficiaries can carry out their own transactions within a single application that links all government sectors electronically.

The sources indicated that this step would be in coordination with the relevant government agencies, including the Ministry of Interior, the Digital Government Authority, and the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence.

It is noteworthy that Absher is the official individuals’ e-services mobile application launched by the Ministry of Interior that provides various government services, especially that of passport (Jawazat) services.

Tawakkalna (COVID-19) is the Saudi official contact tracing application, launched by the Ministry of Health, to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
