February 06, 2022

RIYADH — The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), in line with the efforts to develop its electronic services, launched Sunday its new application for smartphones "ZATCA", which includes various services that help taxpayers perform their services quickly and automatically.

The new app, in addition to the services provided by the authority's website, zatca.gov.sa, aims to facilitate the customer experience and raise the level of services provided by the authority.

Vice Governor of Information Technology & Digitization at ZATCA said, the new application aims to enrich the experience of the taxpayers and facilitate obtaining a quick service in line with the great digital transformation experienced by the Kingdom.

He addied that the development of the application "ZATCA" relied on three main principles; ease, speed, and efficiency.

Director of the ZATCA application project, Eng. Abdullah Al-Madani said that the application is a new method in which the authority provides services through an integrated and interactive service environment targeting the authority’s taxpayers and customers.

It aims to achieve users’ satisfaction and meet their aspirations in the era of digitization and speed, which corresponds to the digital transformation quest the Kingdom is witnessing, to be an umbrella that brings together all the services of the authority in one platform, per the highest advanced technical standards.

He added that the application allows taxpayers to inquire about payment processes instead of visiting the authority’s branches.

This is in addition to viewing the taxpayer’s account statement and authorizing approved accounting offices, in addition to other customs services such as customs tariff and customs declaration service.

He noted that one of the most prominent advantages of the application is the electronic payment feature through which customers can execute their online payments safely. The new application can be downloaded from (App Store) and (Google Play).

Eng. Al-Madani also explained that the authority launched Sunday, in conjunction with the launch of the application, the guideline for electronic services provided by the authority,

It aims to guide and direct the owners of businesses to be more acquainted with the electronic services and the operating mechanism of the app to allow them to carry out their transactions online.

He added that the guide, which is available on the authority's website, includes complete details of the electronic services provided by the authority, with regard to how to benefit from services in the easiest and most effective ways. — SPA
