Dr. Al-Hajraf praises big efforts of Arab Coalition under Saudi Arabia leadership

RIYADH — The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf has praised the big efforts of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, under the leadership of Saudi Arabia, to realize political, development and relief support in Yemen.

He lauded the effort as a bid to realize security and stability and end the crisis in Yemen according to the three references of the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanisms, National Dialogue Conference, and UN Security Council Resolution No. 2216.

Dr. Al-Hajraf made the remarks during a meeting with Saudi Ambassador to Yemen and Supervisor General of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) Mohammed Bin Said Al Jaber at the secretariat general headquarters in Riyadh.

During the meeting, both sides discussed efforts for the reconstruction of Yemen under SDRPY, which was launched by Saudi Arabia in 2017 through rebuilding and developing the infrastructure that was affected by the war and rehabilitating the capabilities in the fields of industry, agriculture, telecommunications, transport, health and education.

This is in addition to creating job opportunities through emergency development projects and long-term schemes in various Yemeni governorates.

Dr. Al-Hajraf also commended the big role of Saudi Arabia in leading the Coalition and working to realize security and stability in Yemen and for the Yemeni people and ending the Yemeni crisis according to the three references, calling on all parties to implement the Riyadh Agreement and achieving the interest of Yemen. — SPA
