RIYADH — Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan received on Monday at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh US Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Yael Lambert.

During the meeting, they reviewed the strategic and historical relations between Saudi Arabia and the United States and ways to strengthen them in all fields of cooperation and joint coordination. They also discussed many regional and international issues, foremost of which is enhancing security and stability in the Middle East region, and the efforts to establish the foundations of peace made by the two friendly countries in the region and the world at large.

During the meeting, they discussed joint efforts to combat terrorism and extremism in all its forms and manifestations, in addition to discussing joint efforts on stopping the violations of the Houthi terrorist militia against the Yemeni people, which disrupts the political solution and development in Yemen.

The meeting was attended by Princess Rima bint Bandar, Saudi ambassador to the US and Chargé d'Affaires at the US Embassy in Riyadh Martina Strong.
