CAIRO — Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh in Cairo on Sunday met with Algerian Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments Youssef Belmahdi on the sidelines of his current visit to Egypt to participate in the 32nd International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
Discussions during the meeting reviewed efforts exerted by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Islamic work, serving Muslims around the world, printing and distributing the Holy Qur’an, combating hyperbole and hate speech, spreading moderation, and keenness to further deepen constructive and fruitful cooperation with various ministries of Islamic affairs and Islamic sheikhdoms in the world to realize its supreme message.
For his part, Belmahdi referred to the efforts exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince, in serving Islam and Muslims and the utmost care of pilgrims and Umrah performers, while praising the historical positions of Saudi Arabia towards Algeria and supporting it in various fields.
At the end of the meeting, Sheikh Dr. Al-Sheikh offered Belmahdi a copy of the Holy Qur’an from the publications of the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an. — SPA
