RIYADH — The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) announced the inclusion of the renewal of the residency permit (iqama) of Burmese nationals within the list of the Tawasul service on the Absher platform.
This is to simplify the procedures for the Bermawi beneficiaries of Absher services as well as to save time and effort. It also enables them not to personally approach the Jawazat offices for Absher services.
The Jawazat stated that the Bermawi nationals could take advantage of the service through their employer’s account on the Absher platform. It is required to fill out the application form for the iqama renewal.
A personal photo of the Bermawi resident, a pledge form to bring his passport during the validity period of iqama, a copy of iqama, and a copy of the national ID of the employer should be attached with the application form.
The Jawazat noted that the priority in rendering the services is for the Barmawi community located in the slums that are being developed in the holy city of Makkah.
The service can be accessed through the employer’s account on the Absher platform, and this is by selecting services from the list of khidmaty (my services) and selecting the passports sector.
Then they need to choose the Tawasul service; submit a new application, and specify the type of request — services of residents inside the Kingdom and then choose the sub-service — renewal of iqama of Bermawis and then write a brief description of the request in the request description box, then choose the file of attachments according to the formats available on the website and then submit the request.
It is noteworthy that the message and request service on Absher platform has been changed to Tawasul service so as to enable all beneficiaries of Jawazat services to process notes and solve technical problems that hinder them from carrying out their transactions electronically through Absher.
