RIYADH — A Saudi national and a Pakistani expatriate were arrested for involvement in a drug-smuggling operation. The men were caught with 5.1 kilograms of methamphetamine in their possession, the official spokesman for the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) disclosed.
In a statement on Monday, the spokesman said security follow-ups on smuggling and trafficking drugs resulted in seizing a quantity of drugs in the possession of a resident.
He added that both the resident and a citizen were found to be involved in the operation breaching the border security law. The duo were referred to the Public Prosecution. — SG
