DAMMAM — The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) in the Eastern Province announced the imposition of a ban on fishing for crab in the waters of the Arabian Gulf for a period of three months starting Feb. 15.

The ministry stressed the need for fishermen to abide by the ban and return crabs laden with eggs to the sea as a conservation measure while fishing.
