GASTAT issued a statement calling on everyone not to remove the census sticker that is placed at the entrance of the real estate unit. QR code on the sticker will link the housing unit data with the identity of the head of the family during Saudi Census 2022.

The authority stressed the importance of the census sticker, which is needed for updating addresses stage, and therefore it is an important requirement to participate in the census through self-enumeration.

In its statement, the GASTAT clarified the most important elements on the census sticker are the building number, details of the main and subsidiary entrances to the house, number of real estate units, in addition to the Quick Response Code (QR Code).

GASTAT announced earlier that it was preparing to launch the "Saudi Census 2022" program, which is an essential pillar of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

Saudi Census 2022 is the fifth census in the Kingdom's history. The last general census in the Kingdom was conducted in 2010, when the population stood at 27,136,977 people.

The authority stated that during this pilot project, the use of paper forms has been dispensed with, as they have been replaced by tablets to collect data in order to obtain accurate results.

This data will then be used to deduce and draw lessons learned, evaluate the technical systems and plan development projects.
