KSrelief supervisor general meets with FAO delegation

1,000 winter bags distributed in Yemen

RIYADH — Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah met in Riyadh on Monday with a delegation from Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, headed by FAO Assistant Director General and Regional Representative for the Near East and North Africa Dr. AbdulHakim Elwaer.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed means of enhancing cooperation in the humanitarian field and issues of common interest regarding food security and early recovery in all needy countries around the world.

Dr. AbdulHakim Elwaer applauded KSrelief’s professionalism in implementing humanitarian projects, stressing the importance of these projects in alleviating humanitarian suffering among peoples around the world.

Meanwhile, KSrelief distributed on Sunday 1,000 winter bags to the displaced people in Taiz Governorate of Yemen, benefiting 6,000 people.

The assistance comes within the winter bag project being implemented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the KSrelief, for the affected and displaced people in Yemen to alleviate their suffering. — SPA
