Interior minister attends closing ceremony of joint tactical exercise

RIYADH — Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif patronized on Sunday the closing ceremony of the fourth joint tactical exercise of the Internal Security Forces Watan 91 (Home 91).

Security sectors of the Ministry of Interior and the Presidency of State Security took part in the exercise, with support of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, and the Saudi Red Crescent Authority.

Lt. Gen. Saeed Al-Qahtani, assistant minister of interior for operations affairs, who supervised the joint tactical exercise, said the internal security forces conducted their fourth joint tactical exercise Watan 91.

They were also backed by a number of other government entities, which noted that the time spent on the participants in this site provided an opportunity for them to collaborate in one field.

Furthermore, for the first time, the implementation was extended to some of the participating security forces’ headquarters and the locations of their field duties.

He added that the participants used unified applications that were prepared and equipped by the planning and preparation teams and the exercise’s leadership, with the leaders of the internal security forces’ sectors and the competent supervisory authority at the Ministry of Interior following up.

The ceremony also witnessed the announcement of the results of the Tactical Shooting Challenge Championship, which was held for the first time with the participation of 14 teams from the involved sectors.

The Special Security Forces from the Presidency of State won first place, while the Special Forces for Hajj and Umrah ranked second, and the Diplomatic Emergency Forces, third.
