RIYADH — Under the patronage of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, Prince Faisal Bin Bandar, governor of Riyadh Region, attended the honorary ceremony organized by the National Platform for Charitable Work (Ehsan) to appreciate the giving and generosity of prominent philanthropists of Saudi Arabia.
Addressing the event at Riyadh Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Riyadh Monday night, the head of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA) Dr. Abdullah Bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, who is also chairman of the Supervisory Committee of Ehsan, thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince for their support to Ehsan, including the application of the highest standards of governance and investing the advanced technologies in enhancing the charity system.
He reported that the total donations received by Ehsan platform exceeded SR1.3m through 19 million donations, benefiting more than three million persons and covered more than 8,200 donating social, educational health, housing, food, and relief chances.
Then Prince Faisal honored the charity benefactors and top donors of the platform and the organizing committee.
In comments to mark the occasion, he extended thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince for their noble instructions to activate such humanitarian giving and generosity. — SPA
