Saudi Arabia calls for strengthening of dialogue to resolve Ukranian crisis

RIYADH —
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan made a phone call on Friday with Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

They discussed the latest developments regarding the Ukranian crises. Prince Faisal stressed that the best way to deal with the Ukranian crisis is to strengthen dialogue between the two parties to reach a political solution that achieves security and stability.

During the call, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to support and enhance them in various fields.

They also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region and the world and efforts made towards them.

On Thursday, Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman said that the Kingdom was ready to exert all efforts to mediate between parties in the Ukrainian conflict.

Speaking during a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prince Muhammad “clarified the Kingdom’s stated position” and said it supports efforts that leads to a political solution to end the crisis and achieves security and stability, Saudi Press Agency reported.
