UNDP official praises Saudi Arabia’s remarkable humanitarian efforts

RIYADH — KSRelief Assistant Supervisor for Operations and Programs, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, met at the center’s headquarters in Riyadh, the Assistant Secretary-General of the UN and Director of the Regional Office for the Arab States at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Dr. Khalida Bouzar.

Al-Baiz reviewed the developments of the humanitarian and relief projects implemented by the center, which have so far reached 1,919 projects in 79 countries around the world, mainly in Yemen.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual concern related to relief and humanitarian efforts to enhance cooperation and coordination between KSRelief and UNDP to provide aid to the needy in Arab countries.

Dr. Khalida Bouzar praised the remarkable efforts of the Kingdom provided through the center to assist the needy individuals around the world, and the center’s efforts in humanitarian work. — SPA
