RIYADH — Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha said that that the main objective of the Human Capability Development Program (HCDP) is to qualify citizens to compete globally.
He made the remarks while attending a press conference, organized by the Human Capability Development Program Committee, to analyze various aspects of the Strategy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program on Sunday.
He said the strategy seeks to bring about integration between a number of entities, including human resources, social development, communications, information technology, and education.
He pointed out that the strategy focuses on knowledge, personality and skill, stressing that it will go to make the citizen the first in the world.
Al-Swaha described education as a lifelong journey and it would not stop with retirement from service.
Regarding the most prominent specializations within the research and development track under the Strategy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program, Al-Sawaha said that the Crown Prince referred to some specific areas.
The areas are identified as empowering people in the areas of health and smart cities so as to achieve social sustainability and preserving the planet, in addition to opening new horizons by focusing on the digital economy and cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and space.
