RIYADH — The Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi has affirmed that Allah Almighty bestowed this country a wise leadership that celebrates the Holy Qur’an, encourages its recitation, memorization and interpretation and cares about Qur’anic education.

This is in addition to instilling goodness in the hearts of our male and female students to adhere to the Qur'anic moral values and ideals.

During the honoring ceremony of the winners of the local competition for King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Award for Memorizing the Holy Qur’an, Dr. Al-Qasabi stressed that this competition is an extension of charitable deeds, and an affirmation of the original approach on which Saudi Arabia was founded since the era of the late founder King Abdulaziz until this prosperous era.

He further said that the care of the Holy Qur’an and the upbringing of generations to memorize, recite, interpret and work by it are among the best and most beneficial deeds, praising the spirit of honorable competiveness in all branches of the competition shown by the contestants.

He prayed to Allah Almighty to greatly reward the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince’s goodness for their constant support and care for the Holy Qur’an and the dissemination of its teachings. — SPA
