RIYADH — Attorney General Saud Al-Muajab has ordered to constitute a specialized Public Prosecution team to move to the scene of the drowning of two children in Tabuk on Sunday.

An official source at the Public Prosecution said that Al-Muajab has directed the team to probe into the causes of the mishap and clear the mysteries around the incident.

The Civil Defense forces retrieved the bodies of the children aged 13 and 11 who fell in a water pool inside a tunnel, which is under construction. The incident went viral on the social media.

The tunnel, located on a major road, linking the northern and southern parts of Tabuk city, is one of the stalled projects in Tabuk.

Al-Muajab ordered to examine whether there is a need to file a criminal case in accordance with the Child Protection Law and the Law of Protection from Abuse.
