Riyadh to host 2025 Asian martial arts games

RIYADH — The Riyadh Region Deputy Governor Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman, Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki Al-Faisal, who is also chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) President Raja Randhir Singh witnessed Tuesday the signing ceremony of Riyadh's first ever hosting of the 7th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games 2025.

In a press statement, Prince Mohammed thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy prime minister and minister of defense, for the unlimited support for the sports sector.

For his part, Prince Abdulaziz praised the support provided by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the follow-up and interest of the Crown Prince for the Saudi sports, affirming that hosting the 7th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games 2025 represents a nucleus for hosting many upcoming Asian related competitions.

Meanwhile, OCA’s Singh said that Saudi Arabia's sports advance is amazing, affirming that his organization highly supports all the efforts exerted by the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee.

He stressed that the Olympic Council of Asia is confident of the Kingdom’s success in organizing the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games 2025 and the Asian Games 2034, lauding the Kingdom's renaissance and development in the sports sector, making Riyadh a destination for the two most important sporting events in the Asian continent. — SPA
