12,000 workers deployed for disinfecting Grand Mosque

MAKKAH — The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has deployed 12,000 workers to carry out disinfection and sterilization operations at the Grand Mosque in order to provide comfort and services for worshippers and visitors.

The Presidency has worked on creating a safe and healthy environment for the Grand Mosque's visitors, as it distributes 1,100 sterilizers on a daily basis. Disinfecting teams sterilize toilets and disinfect all areas of the mosque ten times daily.

Moreover, the Presidency uses 130,000 liters of water for washing the mosque daily, provides 500 dispensers of hand sanitizers, and uses 600 sterilization pumps and 500 pieces of equipment to carry out the operations. — SPA
