RIYADH — President of the General Court of Audit (GCA) Dr. Hussam Alangari inaugurated Monday the Consultative Meeting on the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) Strategic Plan for the period (2023 – 2028) at GCA's Headquarters in Riyadh with the participation of the representative of INTOSAI Development Initiative.

Dr. Alangari emphasized the importance of strategic planning in any organization, as it provides the base for determining its goals and strategic priorities, provides links between its internal and external environments, promotes the use of physical and human resources, achieves its vision and mission, and develops the institutional capacity of its staff.

This can be achieved by transferring these strategic goals into a work plan that enables the organization to follow up on its achievements, measure its performance, and achieve its goals.

Dr. Alangari added that he is confident the GCA will continue to support ARABOSAI at all levels.

The three-day meeting will be discussing the main strategic goals, which have been determined through the last meetings, in addition to updating the vision, mission, principles, and values of the organization and determining the priorities and objectives of the organization for the next period. — SPA
